The Brief: Produce a piece of OOH advertising to be used across Manchester including in a prime spot at Manchester airport promoting Stellify and The University of Manchester experience.
The concept: I wanted to create a piece that was far removed from traditional University advertising. There was to be no shots of labs or students sat on benches. I wanted to communicate that Manchester students were empowered and confident, a force for change. Drawing inspiration from film and tv adverts for shows like Peaky Blinders, I directed this campaign that showed the story of the University’s heritage colliding with its contemporary present.
The outcome: The advert was used primarily across advertising at the airport but was also used on the side of a building at the University and subsequently in various marketing publications.
